The Culla di Arte Lofts, single family residences located near downtown just on the edge of the Rio Nuevo Project. These L-shaped lofts have a striking look and feel. This great design allows for the open loft and some private rooms as well.
Rob Paulus (the architect, also known for the Ice House Lofts, Indigo Modern Lofts, Barrio Metalico Lofts and others) designed each loft as a separate building with dramatic angle and open windows that overlook private courtyards.
Lets talk green. No, not money, features. The Culla di Arte Lofts are approximately 1592 square feet each. Their design emphasizes light and space working together with energy and spatial efficiency.
The lofts were constructed to meet the TEP guarantee standards. Some of the green features include: Energy efficient heat pump/AC, rain water harvesting tanks, dual pane, low-E windows, blown in R-47 insulation in the roof and highly insulated R-38 “Rastra” (ICF) walls.
The only downside to these cool lofts, is they didn’t build enough of them. Maybe we will see some more lofts inspired by the Culla di Arte Lofts in the future.
There is a lot of information about these lofts and the others. Please be sure to check out the Lofts Videos page and Lofts photos page.
